The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers and set expectations.
  • Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen.
  • Take measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
  • Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tool use.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations, and be solution‑driven.
  • Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Maintain store appearance, keeping it clean, attractive and organized.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Be resourceful and self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer‑service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills—the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
  • Embrace new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay Range: 25.02‑39.02

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered, complementing a first‑class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation and various employee discounts.
