We're currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join an established and growing engineering business based in Stonehaven. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer with proven experience working with pumps and rotating equipment to join a skilled service team and work on a wide variety of equipment, ranging from multi-stage, high-pressure units through to smaller over-hung end suction pumps.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating equipment, primarily pumps, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Salary range in between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 until 16:30
- Friday 07:00 until 13:30
- Disassemble, inspect and repair pumps and other rotating equipment within agreed deadlines
- Re-assemble equipment to the required standards and specifications
- Complete all work to a high standard to achieve customer satisfaction
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports in line with company standards and customer requirements
- Work in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures
- Accurately interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
- Diagnose equipment issues and support effective problem solving
- Prioritise workload effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Work as part of a small, skilled service team
- Maintain strong product knowledge across a wide variety of pumps and rotating equipment
- Work flexibly and undertake overtime when required
- Time-served Fitter/Engineer
- Proven experience working with pumps and rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical engineering background
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively to deadlines
- Ideally experienced within a service, repair or workshop environment
- Flexible approach to tasks and working hours
- Reliable and committed with a strong focus on quality
