The stipend for this position is $1,562.00
Responsibilities of Class Advisors- Be in attendance and oversee scheduled activities involving the class.
- Play a part in scheduling and coordinating activities and meetings.
- Approve all announcements to be read over the public address system/BBC.
- Deposit all funds with the high school bookkeeper.
- Sign check request forms for payment of bills and submit completed form to the bookkeeper for the Principal's signature.
- Explain the channels of the school system to the class officers.
- Communicate with the Principal if advice is needed or problems arise.
- Encourage quality public relations, publicity, and communications.
Advisors are reminded that students who have been absent from school are not permitted to attend or participate in any school function, athletic or social, on that school day. This also includes practices, rehearsals, committee meetings, decorating, etc. This is not applicable if the student has been excused from a class or classes by school authorities and received a clearance from the office to attend the after-school activity.
In the event an activity is scheduled on Saturday, the student must be in school on Friday.
Students who are suspended from school may not participate in or attend any school or class function for the duration of their suspension.
All activities must be approved by the principal and scheduled on the official school calendar. Every attempt is made to prevent conflicting interests for students.
Class MeetingsClass meetings are scheduled as deemed necessary by the class officers and advisor(s). Announcements informing the class about dates, times, locations, and agenda items can be handed in to the Secretary in the office and also the BBC. Please give announcements to them at least 24 hours in advance of your class meeting. An advisor's signature is required on each bulletin.
