- Design machine systems and components to meet customer and project requirements.
- Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials using Solid Works.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support new and existing product designs.
- Develop and modify designs involving mechanical assemblies, drive trains, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning teams throughout machine builds.
- Evaluate machine performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
- Investigate equipment issues and perform root cause analysis to develop practical engineering solutions.
- Support service personnel and customers with technical troubleshooting.
- Conduct testing, analyze results, and implement design improvements.
- Prepare engineering documentation and reports.
- Provide technical support to sales, marketing, manufacturing, service, and customers.
- Travel:
Up to 15% domestic and international - Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of design experience.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software;
Solid Works preferred. - Strong understanding of machine design, materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and applying GD&T principles.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
Preferred
- Experience designing custom industrial machinery or capital equipment.
- Knowledge of drivetrain design and power transmission systems.
- Experience supporting products through fabrication, assembly, testing, and field commissioning.
