Our systems encompass product lines to support manufacturing applications and customers in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, building & construction, consumer products, medical, and packaging. We have an exciting opportunity for Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join our team. This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to assemble a wide variety of extrusion equipment using both mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
Key Responsibilities- Accurate fitting, alignment and adjustment to very close tolerances and strict inspections.
- Working from engineering specifications, blueprints and general instructions, plans assembly procedures and methods.
- Test complete products or subassemblies to meet exacting operating requirements.
- Perform bench and floor assembly or a wide range of complicated mechanical and electrical-electronic control equipment.
- Uses all types of precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools.
- Makes suggestions for product improvement.
- Detect faulty operation, defective material, and refer these and other situations to Supervision.
- Follows standard safety regulations and maintains good housekeeping in area.
- High School or Technical School Diploma
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Familiarity with at minimum three of the following: mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, piping (including air-pneumatic, water, and hydraulic), use of a variety of hand and power tools, measuring and test instruments and material handling equipment, fabricates and welds parts as required to support production requirements.
