Lawson Support Assistant
Position Summary:
This position is the assistant to the Director of Materials Management Information Systems to help run the Lawson Help Desk and office for the Supply Chain Administration department. Lawson is our financial system where users in the hospital create requisitions in Lawson to place orders for their department. The assistant will answer phone calls for the Lawson Help Desk, assist users with any questions while using the system, create and update item numbers, maintain the Lawson training calendar and paperwork, run queries, and update department policies as needed.
- Answer phone calls for the Lawson Helpdesk, assisting users with how to use the system, place orders, manage budgets, and resolve inquiries.
- Create and update items in the Lawson system and coordinate approvals with Purchasing.
- Generate reports using Microsoft Access from Lawson data.
- Create item templates to simplify order placement in Lawson.
- Maintain the Lawson training calendar; assist training classes by printing rosters and distributing paperwork.
- Run query requests using Microsoft Excel Add‑ins and Crystal Reporting.
- Update department policies as needed.
- Associate’s degree and at least 1 year’s experience in a hospital or health‑care setting, or 3 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Customer‑service experience.
- Teamwork experience.
- 5+ years of Lawson experience.
- Administrative experience.
- Microsoft Project experience.
- Crystal Reporting experience.
Starting salary range: $49,309 – $60,489 per year. Certain positions may include location pay ($4,000). Total compensation includes health plans, state pension, leave, and supplemental pay.
