Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume)
  • Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
  • Two (2) years of full-time administrative experience.
  • Experience administering tests.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
  • Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver’s License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a higher education/academic environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience with student services software.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling exams between students, faculty, and departments.
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Experience with assistive technologies (e.g. Kurzweil, JAWS, NVDA).
  • Experience with a testing scheduling system.
Brief Description of Duties

Responsible for ensuring that the exams that the Student Accessibility Center (SASC) provides are in compliance with the mandates of the ADAAA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The successful applicant will have experience managing complex situations and coordinating with multiple constituents in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

The incumbent plays a crucial role as a team member within Student Health, Wellness & Prevention Services. In this capacity, they collaborate with other team members to collectively contribute to the overall functioning and effectiveness of the services provided. This involves actively participating in team meetings, sharing insights, and engaging in collaborative decision-making processes. The incumbent's role extends to fostering a cooperative and supportive atmosphere, ensuring seamless teamwork, and collectively working towards the common goals and objectives of Student Health, Wellness & Prevention Services.

The selected candidate will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. They will also have the ability to manage their time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

The candidate will have sound professional judgment, remaining composed under pressure.

  • Coordinate exam scheduling with students, staff, and faculty. Authenticate student requests for examinations and obtain additional information if necessary. Communicate with departments, faculty, and staff regarding student’s needs and accommodation. Manage SASC emails and correspondence with students.
