The Management Area in the College of Business at Stony Brook University seeks to hire and mentor a new faculty member through the PRODiG Plus Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. PRODiG Plus is designed with two primary goals: (1) increasing the number and share of excellent diverse faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (2) strengthening the pipeline for retention and support of those faculty.

The position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the lecturer level to commence in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be appointed for 2 years at an annual salary of $80,000 with comprehensive state benefits. The PRODiG Plus fellow will be part of a mentored research environment, with funds to support research and a modest teaching load (2 courses per year).

At the completion of this two-year position, fellows with an upward trajectory of scholarly achievement and a demonstrated equitable and inclusive teaching strategies focused on student success will be invited to join the tenure-track faculty at Stony Brook University through an internal promotion process.

We are seeking a PRODiG Plus Fellow who can help catalyze our campus  commitment to inclusive solutions-driven research and scholarship in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship. PRODiG Plus Fellows will engage in scholarship and teaching in clusters that represent key areas in Stony Brook s current and growing strengths, bringing a commitment to advancing DEI through research, pedagogical advances, and service in the Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship Area in the College of Business and the broader Stony Brook campus.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship
  • Have a PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Organizational Behavior, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline from an accredited institution completed prior to start date
  • Evidence of, or potential for, excellence in research in Organizational Behavior, Strategy Entrepreneurship and/or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability, or potential, to publish in premier management or management-related journals
  • Demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the campus community. Such experiences may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/unpaid/community service, or related experience/expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Evidence of, or potential for, excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching
  • Demonstrated ability, or potential, to engage in productive interdisciplinary collaboration
