Overview
The C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) at Stony Brook University seeks applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in quantum information science, with a start date of September 1, 2023.
The person holding this position will report to the Director of the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in independently funded research characterized by creativity and vision, and in mentorship and educational training with a commitment to inclusivity.
Responsibilities- Pursue independently funded research in quantum information science with creativity and vision.
- Provide mentorship and contribute to educational training, with a commitment to inclusivity.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the institute and university to advance theoretical physics and related disciplines.
- Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field by the start date (or equivalent).
- Strong research record and potential for independent funding in quantum information science.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence in research and education.
