Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of full-time administrative work experience (student experience may be considered). Experience in higher education, public service, non profit or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Coaching experience. Experience developing programs for college audiences. Experience working with diverse populations. Experience managing/producing virtual meetings and events. Presentation experience to college/college educated audiences. Experience using databases and spreadsheets to track information and/or develop reports. Project management experience.
Brief Description of Duties: The Internship Manager for Humanities and Social Sciences will develop and manage career development, internship and experiential learning initiatives for the College of Arts & Sciences and related academic departments, faculty, employers, alumni, and other campus and community partners. The position will expand access to meaningful, career-connected experiences for students across Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines and help students translate their academic learning into career opportunities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a growth mindset, strong work ethic, creativity, resourcefulness, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Career Development and

Coaching:

• Provide individual and group career coaching to undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni across Humanities, Social Sciences and related programs in-person and virtually. Support students with career exploration, identifying and articulating transferable skills, internship and job search strategies, and networking. Prepare students to become competitive applicants for internships and employment across a variety of industries.

Internship Development and Faculty Partnerships:

• Identify and connect students in Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines with internship opportunities.
