Job Description - HVAC / Plumbing Mgr - HSC & EC Research Buildings (2600246)

Responsibilities
  • Review all employee evaluations and performance documentation.
  • Effectively manage assigned staff and budgets of the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
  • Responsible for daily operation of the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
  • Develop quality controls and improvements.
  • Review and implement all Plant Operations Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for the service and maintenance contracts for the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
  • Responsible for Joint Commission (TJC) compliance for all assigned areas.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Systems, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field, and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in electrical systems, construction, maintenance, or structural systems operations.
  • Or, in lieu of an Associate’s degree, at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the management, maintenance, or oversight of electrical and/or structural systems, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining a large, complex facility.

Posting Overview

This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. An initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date. Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre‑employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range: $110,000 – $120,000 / year.

Location Pay for UUP full‑time positions: $4,000.

Additional compensation may include generous leave, health plans, and a state pension.
