Job Description - Stony Brook Cancer Center CCSG Manager (2504767)
The CCSG Manager is an administrative leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the NCI Cancer Center Support Grant (P30) for the Stony Brook Cancer Center. The role reports to the Cancer Center Associate Director for Administration and involves significant interaction with departments across the Health Sciences, Hospital Administration, Facilities, and the Office of Sponsored Programs. Responsibilities include end-to-end coordination of CCSG applications, renewals, progress reports, EAB visit preparation, and management of cancer center–designated research space.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
- Five (5) years of full-time academic scientific or healthcare research administration experience.
- Two (2) years of full-time experience working on complex scientific or healthcare federal grants.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with academic medical center operations.
- Organize and oversee the submission of CCSG applications and reports.
- Manage CCSG timelines, data integrity, and compliance.
- Coordinate the collection of necessary documents for the CCSG application from SBCC member faculty across multiple schools and departments.
- Oversee the management of various databases used in the collection of data for the required CCSG data tables.
- Coordinate research space inventory and work with the SBCC Space Committee for annual reviews, new faculty space assignments, and other space-related actions.
- Serve as institutional liaison for CCSG-related activities.
- Support EAB visits and post-review follow-up actions.
- Participate in the management of cancer center operations in areas relevant to CCSG activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of funding. This FLSA exempt position is not eligible for overtime provisions, and the minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain exemption.
