Postdoctoral Associate (Job #2600397)
Required QualificationsDoctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Molecular Biology, Biological Science, Biochemistry or a closely related field, in hand by the start of the appointment. Resume needed.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in cancer research, single cell isolation, spleen, thymus, lymph node collection. Knowledge of protein hydroxylation assay using aspartate beta-hydroxylase, 5hmC, 5mC assays. Experience in immunology research, TET1 in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, and liver cancer progression. Experience studying aspartate beta-hydroxylase in liver disease progression. Experience with analytical procedures HPLC-PDA, UPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, QTOF high resolution mass.
Specific Duties- Conduct research experiments in the field of chronic liver disease within predetermined scope and methodology.
- Maintain lab equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Collect and analyze data, including periodic literature search and specialized data analysis.
- Assist in manuscript writing for publication and presentations; may assist in grant writing.
- Other duties as assigned, including attending scientific conferences and meetings.
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for overtime provisions. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
