Required Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field, completed by the start date of the appointment.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Research experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Chip design, tape‑out, and testing, preferably with applications to AI systems.
• Design, analysis, and modeling of AI hardware such as deep neural network accelerators or neuromorphic computing.
• Emerging AI/ML models and hardware/software co‑design for AI applications.
• Radiation testing of electronic systems, with an emphasis on single event effects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing and modeling fault‑tolerant circuits, architectures, and systems.
• Experience in radiation testing of electronic circuits.

Required Qualifications:

• Emerging AI/ML models and hardware/software co‑design for AI applications.
• Radiation testing of electronic systems, with an emphasis on single event effects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing and modeling fault‑tolerant circuits, architectures, and systems.
• Experience in radiation testing of electronic circuits.

Provide independent research in electrical engineering with applications in robust and efficient AI systems. Design and develop circuits, methodologies, and research experiments aligned with project goals. Analyze and evaluate experimental and simulation data using advanced techniques. Prepare manuscripts and technical reports for publication and present findings at lab meetings, conferences, and seminars. Manage lab operations, mentor or supervise undergraduate and graduate students and research staff, and provide training in research methods.

Assist in grant writing and proposal preparation; identify funding opportunities and participate in training activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and availability of funding. This is a FLSA exempt position and is not eligible for overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
