Industrial Maintenance Technician - ALL Shifts

Industrial Maintenance Technician – Storm Lake Pork Plant

Starting Pay: $29.10 per hour.

Retention Bonus: $2,000 for eligible new hires.

To receive the bonus, the following milestones must be completed:

• $500 after 90 days of employment.
• $500 after 180 days of employment.
• $1,000 after 1 year of employment.

Team members must be actively employed and successfully complete each milestone.

• Minimum 6 months of experience in Mechanical troubleshooting, electrical/Electronic troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3‑Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, or Pneumatic Systems.
• Prior Tyson Workers: 180‑day rehire waiting period and limited to 3 times of employment.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions.
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Prepare and complete documentation and reports.
• Comply with safety programs including LOTO and confined space.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Start up and shut down equipment.
• Assist team members as needed.
• Use basic computer systems.
• Follow all safety and company policies.
• Work in varying environmental conditions.
• Communicate effectively to perform job duties.

Industrial production environment with exposure to machinery, dust, heat, cold, and humidity. Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and requires use of PPE.

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stretch, and stoop.
• Push and pull equipment and materials.
• Climb ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and elevated structures.
• Work at heights exceeding 150 feet.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds.
• Work in varying environmental conditions.
• Perform physical labor for the duration of the shift.
