JOBSUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure safety, accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role leads warehouse personnel, enforces standard processes, maintains inventory accuracy, and drives continuous improvement. Success in this role is measured through operational performance, safety outcomes, inventory accuracy, employee engagement, and adherence to company standards.
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES- Oversee daily warehouse operations including small assembly, receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and facility upkeep to meet operational demand.
- Ensure outbound shipments meet on-time and order accuracy targets as defined by company KPIs through managing daily workflow and labor allocation.
- Ensure warehouse layout, storage practices and material flow support efficiency and safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper use of inventory/WMS system, investigating and resolving discrepancies, regular cycle counts, full physical counts
- Work cross-functionally to meet company KPIs for inventory discrepancy rates, and prevent inventory loss.
- Enforce all safety policies, procedures, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor labor usage, overtime, and warehouse supply expenses within approved budgets.
- Identify opportunities to control costs while maintaining service and safety standards.
- Provide input and escalation on equipment needs, maintenance priorities, and staffing levels.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees to meet performance and behavior expectations related to attendance, productivity, safety and quality standards, including administering corrective action and documentation when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment or general inventory and shipping knowledge is preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or a related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point
This position requires frequent standing. Employees will occasionally be required to sit, use a keyboard, and lift and carry items. The role involves medium amounts of pushing and pulling, as well as heavy lifting and carrying.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis position primarily involves indoor work. While the work environment is generally quiet, employees may occasionally encounter periods of moderate noise levels.
