POSITION

OVERVIEW

This individual will be responsible for supporting general ledger activities, account reconciliations, rebate calculations, financial analysis, and month-end close processes. Depending on the candidate's experience level, responsibilities may focus on development and training opportunities or include more independent ownership of accounting processes and projects.

Under the direction of the General Ledger Manager, this individual will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with the ability to contribute to process improvements and support the continued growth of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support or independently perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Daily reconciliation of the main operating bank account.
  • Calculate and reconcile monthly/quarterly/annual rebate payments.
  • Prepare monthly expense analysis for internal departments and divisions.
  • Assist with preparation for external audits and annual budgeting process.
  • Track and file annual corporate reports and other compliance requirements by state.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced controls.
  • Support management with special projects as needed.
  • Contributes to a positive and collaborative team culture.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with accounting software and/or ERP systems;
    Net Suite a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Accounting experience

Salary Range: $55,000 to $62,000 annual

The base salary for this position may vary based on factors such as location, training, skills, and relevant experience. This position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, incentive, or commissions. Bonus or incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
