Assistant Cash Applications Manager

The Assistant Cash Application Manager supports daily cash application operations, ensuring customer payments are accurately applied and reconciled. This role partners with Accounts Receivable, Billing, Treasury, Credit & Collections, and customers to resolve payment issues, improve processes, and support team performance.

• Oversee daily cash application activities and support cash application staff.
• Ensure accurate application of customer payments, including ACH, wires, checks, and credit cards.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and reconciliation issues.
• Perform bank, cash, and accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Partner with internal teams and customers to resolve payment-related concerns.
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, internal controls, and process improvements.
• Support system enhancements and serve as backup to the Cash Application Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of cash application, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cash application, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• High-volume cash application environments
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or Microsoft Dynamics
• ACH, wire transfers, lockbox processing, and electronic payments
• Cash application automation and process improvement initiatives
