Simon & Schuster is seeking a Temporary Administrative Coordinator to join our team immediately. This short-term assignment will provide administrative and operational support across royalty and contracts functions.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and organize information from a variety of internal and external sources
  • Review contracts to locate and extract key data points
  • Accurately enter and update information in company database systems
  • Identify missing or incomplete information and follow up via email with authors, literary agents, and internal teams
  • Assist in creating and maintaining an organized filing system for contract and financial records
  • Prepare, label, and file physical documents to ensure proper storage and easy retrieval
  • Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Work onsite two days per week to support file organization and collaboration with team members
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting or relevant office experience
  • Internship experience in accounting or finance preferred
  • Experience in media, publishing, or royalty accounting a plus

The role is hybrid and based out of Stoughton, MA
, with a preference for candidates who can work onsite two days per week; however, remote candidates will also be considered.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
