Job Overview Coastal Marine Construction is seeking a Construction Surveyor to support field surveying operations on marine and heavy civil construction projects. This role focuses on construction layout, verification, data collection, and as-built documentation in active construction environments. This is a field-forward position well suited for survey professionals with 1–5 years of experience who are looking to build deeper exposure in marine construction, pile driving, and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities- Support daily field survey operations
- Perform construction layout, control, and verification activities
- Assist with setting pile locations, alignments, offsets, and elevations
- Collect survey data using Topcon and Trimble total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment
- Maintain clear field notes, sketches, and survey documentation
- Support preparation of as-built survey data and records
- Coordinate with field crews, foremen, and project management as directed
- Support AutoCAD drafting and basic data processing as needed
- Participate in daily field coordination and safety planning
- 1+ years of construction surveying experience (heavy civil or marine preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Topcon and/or Trimble survey equipment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Willingness to work long field hours in active construction environments
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work near water and in varying weather conditions
- Experience on pile driving or waterfront construction projects
- Exposure to survey operations
- LSIT, CST, or progression toward certification
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training
