Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Multi Specialty department on a Part-time basis.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) responsible for providing supportive patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician in accordance with policies and procedures of the practice. This includes answering phone calls, and emails, collecting and recording patient information, and vital signs, assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures, giving injections or medications as directed by physicians, entering patient information into medical records, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments in accordance with practice policies.

Ensure rooms are stocked and prepared each day according to the work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.

• Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the authorized healthcare provider
• Assists with exams or procedures
• Performs support duties to assist in the smooth operation of the clinic

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
• Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a clinical setting
• Licensed as a Certified Medical Assistant
• Current BLS certification
• Computer

  Basic computer competency skills are expected including knowledge of and working with electronic health records

• Part-Time, .6 FTE
• 24 hours per week
• Work Schedule:
  
  Monday - Tuesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
