Director of Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Director of Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who can lead a team, manage facility operations, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage daily maintenance operations while remaining actively involved in repairs and preventative maintenance.

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, facility repairs, and preventative maintenance programs.

• Ensure building systems and equipment are properly maintained and operating safely.

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and fire safety systems.

• Supervise maintenance staff, coordinate schedules, and manage departmental budgets and supplies.

• Coordinate outside contractors, vendors, inspections, and facility improvement projects.

• Maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations, Life Safety requirements, and Department of Public Health (DPH) standards.

• Prepare for regulatory surveys and Life Safety inspections.

• Coordinate emergency preparedness, emergency response procedures, and facility safety initiatives.

• Respond to maintenance issues promptly to minimize disruptions to residents and staff.

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.

• Ability to perform hands-on repairs while supervising and coordinating maintenance operations.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

• Experience with DPH surveys, Life Safety inspections, and emergency management is a plus.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting is preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $5,720 Monthly
