Job Description & How to Apply Below
Based in Stoughton, MA, you’ll guide a commercial HVAC/R team that installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. You’ll set the tone for quality, safety, and customer care—while developing technicians and solving complex system challenges.
Experience with rack refrigeration systems is a plus, not a requirement.
A day in the life
Your morning starts with a quick huddle: assign service tickets and install tasks, review safety notes, and align on priorities. By mid-morning, you’re on-site verifying workmanship, helping diagnose a stubborn low-superheat issue, and coordinating parts with the warehouse. In the afternoon, you mentor a junior tech on best practices, update records, and circle back with a client to present options and timelines.
You wrap the day ensuring tomorrow’s schedule and materials are ready.
What you’ll lead Direct a crew of HVAC/R technicians and oversee daily field operations.
Supervise installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs for commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Uphold safety protocols and applicable codes; verify quality and compliance on every job.
Diagnose advanced performance issues and define effective repair strategies.
Coach, train, and mentor team members to elevate skills and performance.
Maintain precise documentation of work orders, repairs, and parts/inventory usage.
Engage with customers to assess needs, recommend solutions, and set expectations.
Collaborate with scheduling, purchasing, and other departments to keep projects moving.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED; HVAC/R trade certification or equivalent training preferred.
5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC/R systems.
Proven leadership as a lead tech, foreman, or supervisor.
Expert troubleshooting skills and sound problem-solving judgment.
Clear, professional communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of local codes, permitting, and industry standards.
Flexibility to work varied hours and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Preferred Exposure to rack refrigeration systems—helpful but not mandatory.
If you’re motivated by high standards, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, we’d love to connect.
