USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic transportation team member to join our Distribution Team. This position will be located in our Stoughton, MA location.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00am-11:30am

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily transportation operations by planning, scheduling, and optimizing delivery routes to maximize efficiency, meet customer commitments, and minimize transportation costs.
  • Dispatch and communicate with drivers throughout the day, providing route updates, delivery changes, and operational support while resolving issues related to traffic, delays, equipment, customer requests, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, sales teams, and internal departments by responding to delivery inquiries, providing estimated arrival times, communicating service updates, and resolving transportation related issues.
  • Monitor active deliveries, route progress, and transportation management systems to ensure on time performance, communicate delays, and proactively adjust schedules when necessary.
  • Coordinate same day deliveries, second run deliveries, special delivery requests, and common carrier shipments to ensure customer requirements and service commitments are met.
  • Monitor transportation trackers, delivery queues, and customer commitments to ensure time sensitive deliveries are executed accurately and communicated effectively.
  • Prepare and coordinate delivery documentation, shipping information, and routing instructions while maintaining accurate transportation records and system updates.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations to stage material for future deliveries, customer holds, special shipments, and carrier pickups.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Department of Transportation regulations, hours of service requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve routing efficiency, service levels, communication, and transportation processes.
  • Cross train in transportation and warehouse support functions and provide operational backup for dispatch, routing, scheduling, and other logistics activities as business needs require.
Working Conditions

This position primarily works in an office environment with frequent interaction with warehouse personnel, drivers, transportation leadership, sales teams, and customers. The role requires continuous communication, multitasking, and the ability to prioritize changing business demands in a fast paced distribution environment. Occasional extended or flexible hours may be required to support transportation operations, customer commitments, and business needs.
