Productive Resources () is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Stoughton, WI. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a driven Industrial Engineer who will have 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong background in time studies, factory layouts, and continuous improvement processes. Experience with layout processes, Draft Site, and Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly desirable.

The position requires collaboration with a global team, including members in India, so flexibility to work either in the mornings or evenings will be essential.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties
  • Conduct time studies and process analysis to improve efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize processes to evaluate and optimize workflows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and operational goals.
  • Design and implement factory layouts, ensuring optimal use of space, equipment, and labor to improve operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute strategies that streamline production processes and reduce waste.
  • Analyze production data to provide actionable insights that drive operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with global teams, including teams in India, to ensure project goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and present reports on findings, improvement initiatives, and project progress to management.
  • Support the design and implementation of process changes, ensuring effective training and knowledge transfer to the workforce.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on time studies, factory layouts, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in factory layouts and space optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Effective communicator, able to present findings and lead discussions with both local and global teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with teams in different time zones, particularly in the mornings or evenings, based on personal preference.
Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environments or industries with complex production processes.
  • Ability to implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional or international teams.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or working toward certification).
  • Proficiency with Draft Site or other similar CAD software.
  • Experience with JD processes (former JD employees highly encouraged to apply).
