Materials Engineering Technician

Our client, a leading organization in materials testing and engineering support, is seeking a Materials Engineering Technician to join their team. As a Materials Engineering Technician, you will be part of the engineering support department supporting vibration and materials testing. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and self-motivation, which will align successfully in the organization.

Materials Engineering Technician

Location:

Stoughton, WI

Pay Range: $27 - 30/hr

Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine laboratory analyses using engineering tools and standard test equipment.
  • Operate analytical instruments and support physical testing for production and engineering teams.
  • Prepare samples and specimens following laboratory techniques and work instructions.
  • Acquire, interpret, and document test data, producing technical reports as needed.
  • Assist in developing and documenting laboratory methods, calibrations, and maintenance of equipment.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or certification may be preferred based on regional requirements.
  • Some work experience with intermediate knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and test stands.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
