About the Opportunity
I'm partnering with a global engineering and manufacturing leader that is experiencing tremendous growth as demand for backup power systems continues to surge across AI, hyperscale, healthcare, and mission-critical infrastructure.
This isn't a traditional manufacturing engineering position. You'll own technically challenging, custom-engineered projects from customer requirements through final production while working directly with some of the world's leading engine manufacturers.
If you're looking for a role where you'll have visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges alongside a highly respected leadership team, I'd love to connect.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical contact throughout the application engineering process.
- Design custom industrial exhaust, thermal management, and engineered system solutions.
- Develop system layouts, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
- Evaluate customer specifications and translate them into manufacturable engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Manage engineering projects from quotation through production while ensuring quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in customer meetings and technical reviews.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in Product Design, Applications Engineering, or Mechanical Design.
- Experience using Solid Works, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fluid flow, thermodynamics, and manufacturable product design.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Experience supporting any of the following industries is highly desirable:
- Power Generation
- Emissions Control
- Thermal Management
- Construction Equipment
- Commercial Vehicles
Experience working with Cummins, Caterpillar, Generac, Kohler, MTU, Detroit Diesel, or similar OEMs is a significant plus.
Why Engineers Love This Role- Work on large, technically complex projects—not repetitive designs.
- Direct interaction with world-class OEM customers.
- Strong engineering manager with a proven history of developing and retaining top talent.
- Collaborative team environment with real autonomy.
- Growing division supported by the expanding AI and data center infrastructure market.
- Excellent long-term career growth opportunities within a global organization.
