About the OpportunityA global engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead strategy, lifecycle management, and technical development for its industrial exhaust and after-treatment product portfolio.
This is a highly visible role for a technical product leader with deep experience in industrial emissions systems, large-engine applications, DOC/SCR architecture, and electromechanical sub-assemblies. The position blends product ownership, engineering collaboration, supplier management, and customer-facing technical support.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background, hands-on industrial after-treatment knowledge, and the ability to translate complex customer requirements into commercially successful engineered solutions.
What You’ll Do- Own product strategy and lifecycle management for industrial exhaust and after-treatment systems
- Serve as a technical product expert during customer discussions, product reviews, and solution development
- Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions in partnership with engineering teams
- Support product validation, compliance, performance, and roadmap development
- Manage supplier relationships for key electromechanical components, including DEF systems, dosing pumps, injectors, sensors, controllers, and related assemblies
- Monitor customer needs, emissions regulations, and industry trends to guide future product strategy
- Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and supplier teams
- Support customer-specific solutions while contributing to long-term product direction
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 12+ years of experience in engineering, product management, application engineering, or related technical roles
- Direct experience with industrial exhaust, emissions control, after-treatment, or large-engine systems
- Strong understanding of Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technologies
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and components such as DEF systems, dosing pumps, injectors, sensors, controllers, and fluid handling systems
- Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Strong technical communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across global teams and support both strategic product planning and customer-specific technical needs
Candidates coming from industrial emissions, large-engine exhaust, power generation, heavy-duty equipment, or after-treatment product environments are strongly preferred.
Experience with companies such as Miratech, Safety Power, Dürr, EI Williams, DCL International, Industrial & Marine Silencers, or similar industrial emissions/exhaust manufacturers is highly relevant.
Location & TravelCandidates local to Stoughton, WI, or willing to relocate are strongly preferred and can expect approximately 25% travel.
Highly qualified candidates based elsewhere in the Midwest may be considered for hybrid/remote flexibility, with travel expected to be closer to 50%, split between the Stoughton facility and customer sites.
Why This RoleThis is an opportunity to lead a specialized, technically complex product portfolio within a global manufacturing environment. The role offers meaningful ownership, customer visibility, international collaboration, and the chance to shape next-generation emissions solutions for large-engine industrial applications.
