Clinical Quality Specialist

Stoughton Health is looking for a Clinical Quality Specialist to work full time under the direction of the Performance Improvement/Risk Management Coordinator.

• Review patient medical records to monitor the quality of patient care.
• Coordinate chart reviews, write peer review case descriptions, document committee materials, and follow‑up work.
• Gather and track practitioner outcomes for the Medical Care Evaluation (MCE) Committee and report findings to support ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) and focused professional practice evaluation (FPPE).
• Serve as the hospital’s liaison to the accreditation agency, managing all communications, survey preparation, coordination of the survey team, post‑survey evidence of standards compliance, and measurement of success.
• Participate as a standing member on the Performance Improvement Council, Inpatient Leadership Team, Emergency Management, Infection Prevention, Environment of Care, Patient Safety Committee, and the Rural Wisconsin Healthcare Cooperative (RWHC) Roundtable.
• Stay current on clinical quality and best‑practice initiatives and support clinical quality teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse and current RN license in Wisconsin.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (preferred).
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, formulas, chart preparation).

Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Regular shift 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (or 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). First 6 months required on‑site, then transition to a hybrid option.
