Product Functional Test Instrumentation Tech 2nd Shift- Level II

Role Overview

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Deliver reliable test results by accurately performing routine setups, calibrations, and repetitive testing that engineers depend on for decision‑making
• Build and maintain critical hardware by fabricating test rigs, fixtures, harnesses, and assembling electronic and mechanical systems
• Ensure measurement accuracy by installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instruments like gauges, transducers, and fuel/oil test systems
• Minimize downtime by quickly diagnosing and repairing issues in test cells, cooling systems, and data acquisition setups
• Support engineering efficiency by correctly reading wiring diagrams and executing test plans with precision and consistency
• Provide actionable insights by documenting clear, standardized test results that help teams validate performance and improve designs
• Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration by effectively working with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to quality procedures, audits, and process enhancement initiatives

• High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
• Regionally applicable certification or two‑year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on‑the‑job experience.

• Eager to Learn, self‑starter, highly motivated
• Computer literacy and proficiency is an absolute must
• Some mechanical aptitude
• Basic to intermediate skillset in troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Be familiar and comfortable with 12V, 24V, 48V DC circuits and components
• Must be able to become 120V certified and ok working on 120V circuits regularly
• Basic to intermediate use of proprietary software, ability to retrieve fault codes
• Basic to intermediate understanding and ability in computer networking, TCP, IP addressing
• Basic to intermediate understanding of PC hardware

• Experience with emissions equipment
• PID closed‑loop controller experience
• Computer programming
• Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN‑BUS
