Reports to:

Assigned Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose: Maintain and repair all plant and operations equipment. Build and modify new equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate all types of tools and machines essential and necessary to the job, including but not limited to electrical meter, hand tools, hand-held power tools, electrical components, torches, grinders, welders, forklifts, aerial lifts, overhead cranes, and computer equipment.

· Troubleshoot, repair, tear down and replace compressors, pumps, welders, punches, presses, shears, cranes, hoists, conveyors, heating and cooling ventilation systems, electrical systems, small hand tools, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and paint equipment.

· Troubleshoot line repairs and breakdowns.

· Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.

· Perform machine and fixture set-ups.

· Operate overhead cranes and other lifting devices.

· Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.

· Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product through root cause fixes.

· Must provide own tools and perform maintenance tasks.

· Ability to work mandatory overtime. Other duties may be assigned by the company.

Qualifications

·

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience.

o Experience with equipment teardowns and rebuilds (i.e.: mechanical and hydraulic press breaks)

o Experience with installing/trouble shooting frequency drives

o Advanced welding fabrication.

o Basic knowledge of tool and die equipment (e.g.: drill press, mill, grinding, etc).

o Skilled predictive Maintenance

o Experience with repairing/rebuilding paint pumps, electrostatic guns and blasting equipment.

o Must be able to perform new equipment set-up and diagnostics.

o Must have the ability to work at a fast pace, understanding urgency, be open to new and different things, and express opinions regarding work methods and blue prints. Must be willing to take responsibility for mistakes.

o Must have the ability to read multi-meter and computer equipment.

o Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, operator manuals and maintenance manuals, dimensional and weld prints

o Must have the ability to document work logs, update manuals, create P.M. scheduling program, record keeping, component changes.

o Must have the ability to communicate information orally and/or written, to other personnel in a clear, concise manner.

o Must have basic math skills, especially fractions.


· Core Competencies:

o Troubleshooting: advanced trouble shooting skills on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

o Mentoring: to be able to efficiently train maintenance tech 1 employees respectfully, and willingly

o Advanced: to be able to efficiently perform the task with very little or no help 90% of the time. Professional attitude with excellent inter-department and organizational skills.

Training:

· Company provided training may include but not limited to:

o LOTO Training

o Utility/Golf Cart Training

o Aerial Lifts – Boom, Scissor, fork and manlift training

o Arch flash, confined space and fall protection.

o Overhead Crane operations
