This is a full-time position based in Stow, Ohio, for a Heavy Highway Construction Estimator. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications, submitting competitive bids for paving projects, coordinating bid submissions, and collaborating with project management post-award. Experience in heavy highway construction and Ohio Department of Transportation projects is preferred.

• Review proposals, plans, and specifications; attend pre-bid meetings; conduct site visits to determine scope and estimate requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, solicit quotes, and develop project schedules.
• Submit bid documents and pricing in Heavy Bid software.
• Manage client document changes and work orders to keep projects within budget.
• Recommend cost-saving measures.
• Maintain safety standards in the work environment.
• Assess project risks in collaboration with senior management.

• Experience managing or estimating on public and private construction projects.
• Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to estimate multiple projects efficiently.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Experience analyzing Department of Transportation drawings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating and Bluebeam Software preferred.
