Karvo Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead complex heavy highway and infrastructure construction projects. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all phases of assigned projects — from pre-construction through final completion — ensuring safety, quality, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. We specialize in heavy highway underground utility work, dirt excavation, asphalt paving, and concrete work.
Work is performed for ODOT, various counties, cities and townships throughout Northeast Ohio.

Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager provides overall direction and management for large-scale roadway, bridge, asphalt, and site development projects. This role works closely with estimators, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple heavy highway construction projects
Oversee budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and forecasting
Review and manage contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
Mentor and support Project Managers and project staff
Identify and mitigate project risks
Drive project profitability and operational efficiency
Maintain strong client relationships
7+ years of heavy civil or heavy highway construction experience
3+ years in a Project Manager role (senior-level preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Strong understanding of DOT/public works projects
Proficiency in project management software and cost control systems
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
