Karvo Companies is seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil construction projects throughout Northeast Ohio. If you're a hands‑on leader with experience managing underground utility installations and leading crews safely and efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Oversee daily field operations for underground utility projects, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, and related site work.
- Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on every job site.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and owners to ensure quality work and successful project delivery.
- Plan daily work activities, manage production, and solve field challenges as they arise.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.
- 5+ years of experience supervising underground utility construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, excavation, and grading operations.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.
- OSHA and safety knowledge preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Prior experience should include supervising projects for owners such as ODOT, Cities or Counties.
