Children's Librarian, Randall Library (Stow)
Randall Library in Stow has reopened after a significant remodel and is seeking a new children's librarian. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about bringing library services to young people. The position is part‑time (28 hours/week), benefit eligible, and offers an opportunity to exercise creativity and help usher in a new era for the historic library in a growing, vibrant community.
Responsibilities- Implement various programs and services designed to meet the needs of the community.
- Provide all facets of children’s programming and select and maintain children’s materials for the library collection.
- Cover the public service desk(s) and deliver information services, interacting with patrons and performing circulation duties using Minuteman Library Network’s Sierra software.
- Work 28 hours per week (4 days); schedule determined in collaboration with the chosen candidate.
MLS (ALA accredited) and 1–3 years of public library experience in children’s services preferred. Knowledge of current library technology and youth services trends is essential. Availability to work nights and weekends is required.
