INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)
As Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Operations you will be a business partner with our Jamestown toolbox Production Director and team, VP of Supply Chain and team, and Director DC and team as well as financial leadership to effectively control, report, and analyze manufacturing and supply chain business results. You will be accountable for responsibilities including general accounting, business planning and analysis, financial reporting, and gross margin expansion projects.
You will also liaison with corporate financial staff, assisting with month-end close activities and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Oversee and participate in preparation of reports, forecasts, and summaries of Other Cost of Sales financial statement line items on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis as required.
- Drive reporting and actively participate/present in monthly Ops Review & KPI Report.
- Maintain adequate internal controls for Jamestown plant and Distribution Centers’ finance operations as defined by corporate guidance to ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and safeguard assets.
- Develop and manage the capital expenditure plan for investments in plant and distribution centers.
- Analyze operations and financial results and work with business partners and leadership to identify and execute OP expansion opportunities.
- Assist in the completion of special projects, including the optimization of inventory turns and multiple plant and warehouse processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance/Accounting.
- 5-8 Years of financial/business experience.
- Budgeting/Forecasting experience.
- Plant/Manufacturing Operations experience.
- Strong Excel skills and experience building financial models.
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Strong Presentation skills.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with direct report supervision.
