We’re looking for Activity Aide to join our team!
Position:
Activity Aide - Every other weekend
We are looking for individuals committed to enriching the lives of our residents through purposeful engagement. The Activity Aide will be responsible for organizing and leading person-centered activity programs, including one-on-one interactions, small group sessions, and larger group events. This role also involves accurately documenting resident participation and the effectiveness of activities in the medical record.
Job Functions Will Include- Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
- Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each day
- Help design programs to encourage socialization
- Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
- Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
- Ensure activity areas are safe and well-maintained
- Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
- Must be available to work every other weekend
- A passion for working with people
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind
- Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative
- Musical/ arts & crafts experience preferred
