RN MDS Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately complete and submit MDS assessments in accordance with federal, state, and facility guidelines as the RN MDS Nurse.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure assessments reflect the resident’s clinical condition and services provided.
  • Support reimbursement accuracy by coding assessments consistent with clinical documentation.
  • Assist in driving quality measures, care planning, and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide education and support to nursing staff regarding documentation and assessment requirements.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
  • Prior experience in MDS coordination as RN MDS Nurse and care planning preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, PDPM, and long-term care documentation standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
