Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Hudson, OH 44236

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00–$15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
  • Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 12–15 hours per week

  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, which may include weekends.
  • Department Resets: At times you will be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Notifications occur at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments and may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: You are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members as needed in their territories.
  • Physical Requirements

    This physically demanding job requires high energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs or use step ladders.

    Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
    • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Proficiency with a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
    • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
