We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Electrician to join us on our responsive repairs and maintenance team at the Orbit Housing branch.
This will be covering a patch of social housing properties across Stratford upon Avon and surrounding areas, therefore travel is essential
The core working hours are Monday to Friday Start at 8.00am-4:30pmWe provide a competitive salary + Company Van, Fuel card and Power Tools.+ Generous paying ON CALL Rota (Approx. 1 week in every 5-6 weeks)
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of Supervision.
You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
Fortem's contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple work streams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and Re-Roofing. We are currently rated as 4.5 on Glassdoor and 93% of staff would recommend to a friend!
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Electrician's duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
- Installation, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
- Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties.
- Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
- Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
- Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
- Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.
- Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
- Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.
Essential criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical (2356) with AM2 portfolio to support your experience (not just EAL)
This can be a combination of C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or just the NVQ 3 2356 certificate - C&G 18th Edition Certificate
- Full UK driving license with less than 6 points and no recent driving bans
- Must be able to pass a Basic DBS Check
Desirable:
- Unvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate Part P
- JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card
- Testing & Inspecting Certificate 2391 or C&G 2377
- PAT Certificate
