Job Summary
Chapel School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher for our 4th‑grade classroom. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic growth, social development, and emotional well‑being. This full‑time position requires a commitment to nurturing each student’s unique abilities while implementing a dynamic curriculum that aligns with state standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to co‑plan and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement and restorative practices.
- Support and promote school‑wide initiatives and activities, fostering a sense of community within the school.
- Attend faculty meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and other school events as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience teaching 4th grade or a similar age group preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using technology for teaching and classroom management.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for education.
