Description
This is an Engineering Internship position for an Engineering Candidate working in the Aerostructures Manufacturing Engineering group which includes Airframe and Aero Systems. Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibilities include tasks from the design phase to the manufacturing/test phase. During the design phase the candidate’s work will be exposed to generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations.
At the Program level candidate will potentially work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets. In support of Aircraft Build, the candidate will provide Engineering resolution to build issues.
- Candidate should be working on and in good standing of Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Basic exposure to software (IE similar to CAD, Solidworks)
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
