Position Overview
Description: This position is for a Manufacturing Engineer working in the Aerostructures Engineering Platform Team. Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities include tasks from the design phase to the manufacturing/test phase.
ResponsibilitiesDuring the design phase the engineer will coordinate with Design, perform producibility reviews, generate work instructions, and order tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations to support programs. The engineer will work with design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure that design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets.
The engineer will provide status on all manufacturing engineering activities associated with the assigned program.
During the manufacturing/test phase the engineer will provide technical support to Operations during aircraft assembly and respond to Sikorsky airframe supplier inquiries. The engineer will perform all of the above in accordance with Sikorsky Engineering Standard Work, with minimal guidance and may be called upon to generate additional standard work if required.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- 2 or more years engineering experience
- Experience with mechanical engineering
- Experience with CATIA or Solumina
- 2 or more years experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer
- Experience with CAD

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
