As a key leader of our design team you will:
-Develop both design methods and manufacturing methods for automated assembly of major aircraft components
-Work with operations team to design future factories
-Work with design teams to optimize designs for future factories

* Basic Qualifications:
*
*
- Experience:
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in advanced manufacturing, with a proven record of leading large scale, highly automated production programs
- Design for Advanced Manufacturing DfAM :
Demonstrated expertise in translating design concepts into manufacturable, cost effective components using modern DfM principles
- Rotorcraft Knowledge:
Direct experience with aerostructures and dynamic components e g , rotor blades, hubs, gearboxes for rotorcraft platforms

* - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment and contribute to the development of innovative solutions
- Advanced degree M S or Ph D in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; a focus on manufacturing, composites, or aerospace structures is preferred

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility
** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits
** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
