In this position, located in Stratford, Connecticut
You will support the NDT scope of work on legacy helicopter platforms and emerging platforms such as the CH53K. Responsibilities include engineering evaluation, defect analysis, NDT methods analysis, and inspection. You must have a minimum NAS-410 Level II certification for inspections. Tasks also involve preparing, revising, reviewing, and approving non‑destructive technique sheets and engineering specifications, evaluating supplier techniques, assisting with implementation of new equipment, designing inspection reference standards, providing technical support to manufacturing, engineering, programs, field personnel, and suppliers, auditing internal and external NDT inspection facilities, and participating in the development of NDT training course material for levels I, II, and III.
You will also test and certify NDT level I, II, and III inspectors in accordance with NAS‑410 and company requirements and will be willing to travel domestically and internationally to conduct NDT business.

Basic Qualifications- Hold at least 2 NAS-410 Level 2 or Level 3 certifications in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Magnetic Particle (MT) or Radiographic Testing (RT).
- Have at least 5 years of experience as an NAS-410 certified inspector at any level in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with Eddy Current Array and Automated Phased Array UT methods.
- Experience using Digital Radiography (DR), Computed Radiography (CR), Computed Tomography (CT) and Real Time Radiography Image Intensifier equipment.
- Experience with NDT of castings, weldments, and composite structures.
- Greater than two active NAS‑410 NDT Level 3 certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in an Engineering or Technology discipline.
- Experience using CATIA or other 3D modeling software.
- Familiarity with both NAVAIR and NAVSEA Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) manuals and processes.
- Familiarity with industry NDT standards (AMS, ASTM,…).
- Technical writing experience.
- Familiarity with AS9100, and Nadcap audit requirements for NDT special processes.
- The ability to collaborate and work well with fellow team members.
