- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred; Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related discipline accepted)
- Software-focused engineering background
- Ability to run and troubleshoot code, with Python knowledge at a minimum
- Basic knowledge of shop and manufacturing safety procedures
- Experience safely operating or working around drilling machines, sizing equipment, and belt sanders
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Test Engineering experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing test processes
- PCB and electronic assembly experience
- LabVIEW and/or Test Stand experience
- Experience with electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI)
Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer for a leading commercial kitchen technology client. This candidate will join a manufacturing engineering team supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electronic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working on both the software and hardware sides of engineering. This role is highly hands‑on, requiring the ability to run and troubleshoot code, perform soldering, and support testing activities in a production setting.
Candidates with a strong engineering foundation, a passion for problem‑solving, and an interest in manufacturing operations will be well positioned for success in this opportunity.
- Support testing and validation of electronic products and assemblies
- Run, troubleshoot, and make basic modifications to software used in testing environments
- Perform hands‑on soldering, debugging, and hardware troubleshooting
- Assist with manufacturing and production support activities
- Analyze test results and identify product or process improvements
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
- Follow manufacturing safety standards and best practices while working with shop equipment
Compensation: up to $70,000/year
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
