Pay Rate: $21.43–$68.00/hour

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Schedule: 5/40 — First Shift

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Avionics Technician to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced avionics and flight control systems.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to apply your technical skills to critical aircraft systems while working with electronics, cable routing, harness fabrication, soldering, and instrumentation. Your work will contribute to the functionality, safety, reliability, and performance of aviation systems throughout the development process.

As an Avionics Technician, you will:

• Support the development, design, integration, and testing of instrumentation and avionics/flight control systems.

• Fabricate and install electrical wiring, cables, and wire harnesses.

• Perform cable routing and harness fabrication in accordance with engineering requirements.

• Complete soldering and electrical assembly activities.

• Use crimpers, multimeters, and wire-stripping tools to complete avionics work.

• Troubleshoot and test electrical and avionics systems.

• Support integration of electronic systems into aircraft and related assemblies.

• Analyze product and system designs to evaluate functionality, safety, materials, availability, appearance, and cost.

• Apply knowledge of electronics, technology, materials, and manufacturing processes to support design solutions.

• Work closely with engineers and other technical professionals during development and testing.

• Follow technical documentation, engineering requirements, and established processes.

• Identify potential issues and communicate technical findings to the appropriate engineering teams.

• Maintain a strong focus on workmanship, safety, quality, and reliability.

• Hands-on experience with avionics, electronics, electrical systems, or related aircraft systems.

• Experience using crimpers, multimeters, and wire-stripping tools .

• Experience with wire harness fabrication and cable routing.

• Soldering experience.

• Ability to read and follow technical documentation and engineering instructions.

• Understanding of electrical/electronic systems and components.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment.

• Previous experience working directly on flight aircraft .

• Experience with aircraft avionics or flight control systems.

• Experience supporting avionics system development, integration, and testing.

• Experience with aircraft wiring and electrical installation.

• Familiarity with instrumentation systems.

• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical or electronic systems.

• Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
