Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr; Stratford, CT

Overview

• Support the decomposition of Statements of Work (SOW) into actionable cybersecurity solutions and design critical cybersecurity capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance cyber resiliency across a portfolio of Owego programs.
• Lead the effort to streamline the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and accelerate Authority To Operate (ATO) approvals.
• Oversee the development of cybersecurity artifacts, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST 800‑53, and maintain ATO for systems and technologies.
• Maintain a DoD SECRET level clearance.

• 9+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Experience with security architecture design, security audit tools, security requirements generation, security testing.
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 / 8140 certification required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
• Must be willing to travel up to 10%.

• Engineering bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience.
• Experience using Security Center/ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution.
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with RTCA DO‑356.
• Experience navigating and securing Linux and Windows.
• Ability to analyze security reports and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

This position requires a government security clearance; applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
