Your expertise in supply chain management will ensure the seamless acquisition of critical composite materials, directly supporting the readiness and mission success of Rotary product centers.
THE WORK
Manage a buyer's desk focused on purchase activities and on-time delivery of frozen composite raw materials in support of Rotary product centers. This position allows telework greater than or equal to up to 50%. You may be required to work onsite up to two days a week in Stratford, CT to better support these operations.
* Serve as the primary interface with internal customers & stakeholders and with external subcontractors & suppliers.
• Report status and performance metrics to product center management; ensure timely delivery and quality of services in support of program milestones.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, such as Program Management, Operations, Supplier Quality and Engineering to achieve business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
3 years of demonstrated direct experience in Purchasing, Expediting or a related Supply Chain discipline
SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired
Skills:
Knowledge and experience buying under the guidelines of the FAR/DFAR, LMAP, CAP or other acquisition policies and procedures
Exhibit strong problem-solving and communication skills
Prior experience in a related industry preferred
Experience with supply chain activities, to include procurement systems, production schedules and IPT structures
Critical thinker / Problem solver
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment
Strong time management, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
