NSI Industries is seeking a Master Scheduler for our Stratford, CT manufacturing facility under the Bridgeport Fittings® brand. The Master Scheduler is responsible for translating unconstrained demand into a feasible Master Production or purchasing plan that balances customer service expectations with inventory investment targets. This role ensures adherence to Materials Planning processes, drives continuous improvement across planning systems and tools, and supports the development of supply planning capabilities.
The Master Scheduler also plays a critical role in the Supply Review phase of the S&OP process by identifying risks, aligning cross‑functional stakeholders, and supporting informed decision‑making.
- Convert the unconstrained demand plan into a feasible Master Production Schedule (MPS) or purchasing plan that meets customer service targets while maintaining agreed inventory investment.
- Ensure adherence to Materials Planning processes, policies, and governance (including master data integrity and min/max compliance).
- Play a key leadership role in the Supply Review portion of the S&OP process, identifying and escalating supply risks and constraints.
- Own Customer Service, Inventory, and Vendor Service Level KPIs, including backorders, inventory turns, SLOBs/EOL, and service performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in MPS, DRP, and ERP strategies, processes, and tools.
- Provide expert‑level guidance and support for optimal use of ERP/WMS systems, including master data management.
- Support back‑office planning activities across ERP systems in partnership with internal teams and external consultants.
- Participate in ERP upgrades, migrations, and system consolidations related to materials and production planning.
- Track purchased materials from domestic and international suppliers to manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and partners.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to balance supply and demand and resolve material constraints.
- Develop and enhance supply planning capabilities by assessing skill gaps and leading MPS/DRP training initiatives within the region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP) preferred.
- 5–7 years of supply chain or related business experience, with demonstrated success in cross‑functional environments.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a production or materials planning role.
- 10+ years of super‑user or expert‑level experience with ERP/WMS systems related to production planning and materials management.
- Demonstrated experience setting and maintaining master data (min/max levels, batch sizes, work center capacities).
- Proven experience supporting ERP upgrades, implementations, and migrations related to planning and materials.
- Hands‑on experience supporting the Supply Review phase of the S&OP process.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of other PC‑based tools (PowerPoint, Word, Access).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence decision‑making at all levels.
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
